Applets for beginners

Here are some applets that will allow beginners to familiarize themselves with abalone.

They have a rather low level, except for the last one, which has a decent level.

And of course they need no downloading.

To access the app and play, click on the link under the picture, or directly on the picture.

Innovation of the month: November 2014

Every month a previously unreleased variation.

Neko

Neko © LGB Productions

In Japanese, Neko (猫) means “cat“.

Neko_worldismine

But Neko is also…

a programming language, as you can see here.

computing_neko

a cross-platform open-source animated cursor-chasing cat screenmate application ^^.

therealneko

a Japanese figurine, the maneki-neko (招き猫) or “beckoning cat”,
first appeared during the later part of the Edo period (1603-1867).
He symbolizes welcoming, as well as luck and wealth.

Neko-Porzellan

This maneki-neko lifts its left paw to invite newcomers to play abalone. It will bring you good luck in the game, and the koban (gold coin from the Edo period) around its neck ensures you that the abalone practice will enrich your reasoning abilities, your life and your spirit!

Variation of the month: November 2014

Every month, we bring a new variation to light by publishing a previously edited or unedited game.

German daisy

Two games for this month!

1) Black wins:

This first game shows us two high-level opponents : psychopataba and did. did use to be a methodical and powerful player, but this time we can’t say: “He did!” 😉

2) White wins (Black gives up):

This first game shows us a famous Swiss player, Snowbowl, best known as Galopin, and jeff costa from Brazil, probably the best player of the South American continent… but maybe the only one! 😉
White should win faster, but nevertheless, this is a beautiful game.
